How AI is used

TripGuards uses Claude (developed by Anthropic) to generate travel content at scale, with structured fact-checking as the foundation.

1. Structured facts come first
Prices, embassy addresses, transit lines, medication brands, and emergency numbers are manually curated from official sources (government tourism boards, MFA registries, transit authorities). These are stored as reference data, not generated by AI.
2. AI generates narrative around verified facts
Tips, descriptions, and cultural context are AI-generated, using the verified facts as ground truth. The AI is instructed to avoid common pitfalls (transferring information across cultures, inventing facts, outdated pricing).
3. Verification overlay
Priority cities are reviewed for accuracy before publication. Other cities benefit from country-level fact-checking — even smaller destinations inherit verified information about emergency numbers, medication brands, and legal regulations.

Editorial standards

  • We don't accept paid placements that compromise factual accuracy.
  • Affiliate links are clearly marked and never inserted at the cost of accuracy.
  • We retract or correct content that is found to be substantially incorrect.
  • We aim to update outdated information within 30 days of being reported.
  • Sources include official government registries, transit authorities, and recognized tourism boards.

Limitation of liability

TripGuards provides travel information for general guidance. While we work to ensure accuracy, travel conditions change rapidly — prices, regulations, transit lines, and emergency procedures can be updated without notice. Travelers should always verify critical information (visa requirements, embassy contacts, medication regulations) with official sources before travel. TripGuards is not liable for decisions made based on information provided here.
